Ridgeway and co are partnering with a leading Tier One contractor in their search for a Logistics Manager located in Cambridge paying up to £60,000.In this role you will be overseeing the whole logistics process, from material procurement to on-site deliveries. This role involves working on a residential project extending into 2025, with additional projects in the pipeline.Key Responsibilities * Efficiently allocate materials, equipment, and personnel to construction sites based on project requirements. * Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure optimal pricing and delivery schedules. * Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and reorder supplies as needed. * Ensure all plant equipment (e.g., forklifts, hoists, generators) is maintained, serviced, and that checks are completed and recorded. * Oversee the transportation of materials and equipment to construction sites, optimising routes and schedules. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all logistics operations. * Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce logistics expenses. * Supervise and motivate a team of logistics personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. * Address logistics-related issues and develop innovative solutions to overcome challenges.Qualifications & Experience * Proven experience as a Logistics Manager in the construction industry. * Relevant training certificates (SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Traffic Management). * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. * Knowledge of safety regulations.If you are interested in this role please Apply today by submitting your CV, or simply get in touch with us on contact details provided Read More |
