The Role



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Business Analyst to join our IS Programme Delivery team.

9 million homes and businesses in the Northeast, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, is at the forefront of delivering a power network that meets the regions need, now and in the future.



An exciting project has commenced to design, build and deliver a new application which will manage the end-to-end delivery of our capital programmes.

The Business Analyst will work alongside the existing project team of Senior Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to define and model future state business processes, develop user stories and assist in the successful roll out of the application.



This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a large scale agile software development project, ensuring that the project meets the needs of the organisation, customers and regulatory bodies.

What you’ll be doing



  • Working alongside the project team to facilitate workshops to define future state processes
  • Elicit, document and manage functional / non-functional requirements
  • Elicit reporting requirements
  • Translate requirements into Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
  • Create supporting design artefacts (e.g. Wireframes)
  • Identify, document and manage business change impacts
  • Identify, document and manage business benefits
  • Elicit and manage data migration requirements
  • Elicit and manage system integration requirements
  • Support end-user testing
  • Support end-user training
  • Provide Go Live support


What you’ll bring



  • Experience of working as a Business Analyst or within a relevant IT field
  • Experience of working on Agile projects
  • Strong Communication / interpersonal skills
  • Experience in organising and running workshops / meetings
  • Ability to collaborate with other Business Analysts, Architects, Developers and Testers
  • Ability to elicit, document and manage functional / non – functional requirements
  • Ability to create design artefacts, e.g Process Models/ Wireframes / User Journey flows
  • Proficient with analysis and backlog management tools such as Jira and Enterprise Architect
  • Experience of capturing current state / future business processes




What you’ll have



Essential


  • Degree in IT related subject or relevant Business Analyst qualification
  • Experience of Business Process Modelling Notation
  • Experience of working in Agile projects
  • Experience of working with Agile delivery teams
  • Experience of requirements capture and documentation
  • Experience of supporting User Acceptance Testing
  • Experience of Stakeholder Management

  • Experience of Utility Industry
