Job Description

The role is to assist the Finance Manager in the execution of daily tasks, monitoring and reporting activities, and helping to improve financial processes and controls. The Junior Finance Controller will be strongly supported in their role, receiving appropriate training and working side by side with an experienced Finance Manager.

  • Supporting the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the financial activities
  • Processing invoices and payments
  • Preparing and posting recurring journals in the General Ledger and T24
  • Producing the monthly management accounts
  • Reconciling the general ledger ( bank accounts) and maintaining appropriate records
  • Preparing business and financial analysis
  • Performing Actual vs Budget analysis
  • Preparing Quarterly VAT calculations and submission of returns
  • Prepare daily liquidity monitoring
  • Preparing various quarterly returns (FSA029, FSA030, MIF001, MIF002, MIF003 & MIF004)
  • Assisting in the provision of reporting to the Management and the Board of Directors
  • Providing assistance in the preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Providing assistance with external auditors as required
  • Liaising with Group Finance Department
  • Implementation of process improvements
  • Any other duties that given by the Finance Manager
  • Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 1-3 years of professional experience gained within the financial industry
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and UK regulations
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skill
