LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a large UK health regulator.

They have an investigator position available on a fixed-term basis to start as soon as possible and to last until March 2025 within their investigations team based in Central Edinburgh, Scotland.

There is potential for the contract to be extended past March 2025.


You will handle a caseload of fitness to practise investigations.

Your day-to-day work will include reviewing evidence, identifying regulatory concerns, interviewing witnesses and drafting statements, writing reports in a timely manner, and escalating matters to senior colleagues where necessary.


To apply you will be:


  • Legally qualified – ideally to LLB/GDL/LPC level
  • Experienced working within a regulatory environment for at least 6 months, with robust investigatory skills
  • Able to attend the office in Central Edinburgh, on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week in the office

The annual salary for the role is £31,462 and this will be paid pro-rata for the duration of the fixed-term contract.
