Permanent roleSalary : £52,547 to £55,929Start Date: ASAP Shift Pattern: Standard Monday to Friday With flexibility subject to business needsDUTIESLead the Council's Integrated Transport Team safely, effectively and sustainably including provision of technical expertise. Be an advocate for continuous improvement, ensure best practice is utilised and excellent service provided Ensure the team are working efficiently and delivering their roles whilst providing specialist/expert advice for the service in line with corporate aspirations. Be accountable for the team’s capital budget ensuring that the Council receives best value. Represent the authority at regional meetings, developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships. JOB REQUIREMENTSEducated to Degree level. Must be a member of a recognised professional body. Knowledge and understanding of strategic and policy issues in terms of the development and implementation of the Transport sectorCandidates must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of legislation and statutory obligations relating to the provision and development of Transport services.
