MacGregor Black are partnering with a Premium Luxury Consumer brand on the search for an IT Infrastructure Specialist .

This is permanent role based in Barnstaple.


As the IT Infrastructure Specialist will focus on developing robust IT security measures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and managing all aspects of business hardware and software lifecycle.

This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of operational excellence and security that our client's reputation is built upon.


Key responsibilities


  • Implement and manage comprehensive IT security strategies to protect organizational assets and data.
  • Ensure adherence to international standards and regulations, including GDPR, through effective collaboration with data protection advisors.
  • Oversee the procurement, setup, and lifecycle management of IT hardware, aligning with luxury retail requirements.
  • Support the design and execution of system updates and software management processes to bolster cybersecurity.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation and standard operating procedures for IT operations.
  • Provide support and guidance on IT best practices to all departments, enhancing overall business efficiency and security compliance.
  • Assist in strategic IT projects and support the Head of Business Technology with technical expertise as needed.

What are we looking for?


  • A minimum of two years' experience in IT infrastructure roles, preferably within a luxury retail or similar high-stakes environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Mac OS and proficiency with systems like JAMF.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Desired: Familiarity with SQL, and experience in e-commerce platforms within the luxury sector.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional adaptability to rapidly changing technology and market conditions.
  • Strong collaborative spirit and technical acumen.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
