This pivotal role is for a legal professional who is not only well-versed in the British common law system but also has a passion for the fast-paced world of technology.

Your insights and expertise will be instrumental in steering the company through the complexities of compliance, risk management, and contract negotiation.



Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver clear, pertinent legal advice on a spectrum of topics relevant to the tech industry, aiding in decision-making processes company wide.
  • Draft, assess, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts, ensuring they align with Complexio’s objectives and compliance standards.
  • Develop and refine company policies and protocols to manage and diminish legal risks effectively.
  • Guarantee adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, safeguarding the company's integrity and interests.
  • Champion and inculcate a culture of legal compliance, risk management, and ethical practice across the organisation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external entities, including but not limited to legal service provider Gorrissens Federspiel, and manage these crucial relationships.
  • Design and conduct comprehensive legal training for staff to promote legal literacy within the company.
  • Remain abreast of legislative changes, particularly those impacting the tech sector, and adapt company policies to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to advise on legal implications of internal strategies and decisions.


Qualifications


  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-3 years of professional legal experience, preferably within the technology sector.
  • Membership of the local bar association or equivalent professional legal body.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial law, with proficiency in drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the legal challenges faced by companies in the tech industry, including intellectual property, data privacy, and cyber law.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal jargon into understandable terms for all levels of staff.
  • Proven track record of proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
