Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Team Leader to join the team at one of our well established manufacturing clients based in Bridlington.The RoleTo liaise with the Hygiene supervisor and implement first line management of the Hygiene Team in all aspects of cleaning to ensure and maintain safe and hygienic conditions within the manufacturing environment and related areas. To have an understanding of the immediate health & safety of the Hygiene Team, product safety and product quality.Expectancies & Accountabilities- To be responsible in the cleaning of food production areas and equipment in a manner that satisfies leading industry standards in all aspects of Food Quality, Food Safety and GoodManufacturing Practices (GMP).- To strip, clean and rebuild machinery to ensure that production schedules are maintained.- Achieve the targets and job standards set by the Hygiene Supervisor.- Comply with all legal and company food handling and hygiene requirements.- Comply with and maintain health and safety requirements.- To work to a high standard ensuring attention to detail at all times to ensure that documented cleaning procedures are maintained.- To be flexible in terms of contractual hours.- Immediately report any machinery defects which may have an impact upon production schedules.- To check and countersign Hygiene documentation, to validate that it is completed correctly, accurately and at the prescribed times required.- To ensure that all the Hygiene Team work to prescribed methods, speed and quality.- Address breaches of company policy and procedure with relevant employees and to ensure performance or behaviour is improved and good discipline is maintained.- Liaise with the Hygiene Supervisor on a daily basis to manage the day to day cleaning requirements and report any issues.- Liaise, where appropriate, with the Shift Production Supervisor to prioritise production requirements.- Completion of periodical refresher training in ‘ safe chemical handling’- Delegate hygiene duties as appropriate.About You- Good time keeping and attendance is essential.- A good level of numeracy and literacy.- Ability to follow and give instructions.- Ability to work to deadlines.- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.- Successful completion of company induction, which includes basic food hygiene and health & safety.- To have a good degree of manual dexterity.- To adopt good manual handling practices as and when required.- Excellent communication skills, to include verbal and written English.- Ability to safely handle chemicals.- Experience of working in a hygiene environment.- Successful completion of training in relevant tasks.- Supervisory/team leader skills.- Knowledge of health & safety within the working environment.For more information about this role please contact Simon on (phone number removed).Or alternatively to be considered for this role please apply with your most up-to-date CV
