We are leaders in developing Machine Learning & Digital Twin software for the Aerospace, Defence and Urban Air Mobility sectors. The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and proficient HR professional to lead our HR functions on a daily basis. You will work closely with the department managers to ensure smooth operations and a maintain a motivated workforce.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the recruitment, selection & retention of a skilled, flexible & motivated workforce.
  • Assist in management of the employee life cycle & processes including induction, training, performance management, payroll & pensions.
  • Review, develop & implement policies & procedures relating to all HR activities
  • Coordinate employee appraisals.
  • Head up the development and training plans for employees.
  • Manage the holiday booking process.
  • Track and report absences.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all general HR related queries; work with external HR resources providing HR advice and support on policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the Department Managers with employment relations, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence management.
  • Maintain employee databases and coordinate security clearance and data access and personnel security.
  • GDPR compliance management.

Skills & Experience:

You must be comfortable working within the defence industry. A Baseline Personnel Security Standard check will be undertaken before an offer is made, and you must be willing and eligible for (or already have) at least UK SC clearance. References will be checked.

  • 2 to 3years experience in a management role.
  • ACIPD qualification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of right to work requirements including UK immigration compliance is highly advantageous.

Location:

  • Hybrid working could be considered, but you will generally work in our Head Office in Westcott Venture Park (15 minutes drive from Bicester or Aylesbury, 30 minute drive NE of Oxford). This is not a purely remote position.
