Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established & highly prestigious client based in St Andrews for a permanent Head of Financial Reporting to join their team. Salary is £58,000 - £65,000 depending on experience + 39 days annual leave, excellent employer pension contribution of over 14% & hybrid working.
Your new role
Reporting in to the Deputy Director of Finance; you will provide leadership and guidance for all aspects of financial reporting and compliance across the organisation. This is a critical role that will see you being responsible for the financial accounting section within a busy finance team and you will directly manage & develop 3 staff members. With the support of your team, you will be responsible for all aspects of monthly and annual financial reporting including the production of consolidated annual financial statements for the group. You will complete various monthly reports on business performance, along with any financial returns required. You will build strong working relationships with various internal & external stakeholders including the external auditor, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided and be an active member of the senior finance team. You will complete process & system improvement, innovating to reduce the monthly reporting timetable and deliver efficiencies in the process whilst maintaining data quality and control.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified technical accountant who ideally has experience working within a large complex organisation or group structure. You will have strong experience in financial accounting & reporting including year-end accounting. You will have experience with staff supervision / management and possess excellent IT skills with experience dealing with large data sets. You will ideally have experience with reporting efficiencies / process improvement.
