Stanton House is working with a telecommunications Plc that is listed on the London Stock Exchange who is seeking a Head of Finance Business Partnering. The business is the leader in the provision of traditional, strategic and enabling communications services. With a large UK B2B customer base, growing partner network and expanding international operations, the business is well positioned to support global organisations to communicate in ever more intelligent ways.

You’ll work closely with the wider finance teams to be able to provide expertise, advice and challenge decisions using data and analytics .

What will you be doing day-to-day?

  • Be the key finance point of contact with the Executive Committee members in the following areas: Opex management and decision support. Identifying and quantifying potential risks and opportunities to budgeted performance across cost centres.
  • Adopting a “value for money” mindset and challenging cost centre leads as required.
  • Identify potential inefficiencies and cost savings. Providing ad hoc insight and analysis.
  • Create processes to enable Group-wide reporting of central functions Identify revenue and market growth opportunities on the back of these Exco relationships
  • Business case preparation and review by working closely with other teams to pull all the information together (business teams, as well as other finance teams – Commercial/Procurement/Product)
  • Return on investment analysis Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including product managers, operations, and development teams.
  • Share knowledge/insights through the production and presentation of analysis & reports. Become a key liaison point between Gamma’s cost centre managers and the Finance team e.g. General Ledger and FP&A teams.
  • Help maximise the opportunities for improved operating expense managing arising from new functionality and processes delivered by current finance transformation projects (including a Microsoft 365 ERP and OneStream consolidation systems rollouts).

What you’ll need

  • Qualified Accountant (Preferably ACA)
  • A proven background partnering with executives in a fast-moving environment Experience working within a large, complex organisation and managing multiple senior stakeholders
  • Excellent data and analytics to provide meaningful insight to our business leaders and be confident to have challenging conversations – be the role of ‘trusted advisor’ and 'finance challenger' Able to analyse and draw conclusions from large, complex data sets but also able to provide support and opinions in areas where information may be limited or there are areas of ambiguity.
  • Able to work in a fast-moving environment and with an innovative approach Comfortable switching from a ‘hands-on’ and operational mindset to a broader commercial/strategic one as needed Qualified accountant with commercial experience

Salary: £100k per annum + excellent benefits

Locations: Hybrid (2/3 days a week in the office)
