How you will create an impact

  • Management of the oversight and operational performance of the Claims Team including design and adherence to SLA’s/KPI’s, design and monitoring of key controls, managing and remediation of exceptions and working with the Claims Leadership team and the wider organisation to ensure Claims Operational excellence.
  • Line management of the Claims Operations team including recommendations for re-design of function where appropriate to ensure development of enhanced standards across the wider claims function
  • . Deliver Executive Level reporting and analytics to senior committees on which to take action which support both top line and bottom line performance.
  • Representation at monthly/quarterly committees as appropriate to include acting as project sponsor on key claims business change initiatives, including, but not limited to; Consumer Duty, Operational Resilience, Business Continuity; Faster Claims Payments
  • Leading the strategic review and improvement of claims management processes to deliver appropriate customer outcomes, ensuring adherence to Consumer Duty and Lloyd’s Principles for Doing Business.
  • Acting as the key stakeholder with Lloyd's and the LMA to ensure appropriate business engagement and representation on all market claims related initiatives.
  • Overseeing outsourced service providers, including third party experts and delegated authorities ensuring that appropriate controls and documentation are in place.
  • Manage all first line Claims requirements to include but not limited to SOX, Lloyd’s, FCA / PRA / internal/external regulatory and control environment

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a Claims Operations leadership role, including experience of team management in a constantly changing and fast paced environment.
  • Significant experience in the Lloyd’s insurance market including relevant IT systems and processes.
  • Strong operational skills, including both business process and systems.
  • Strong change management skill set including experience as either a project sponsor or Claims SME
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, including senior management.
  • Strong familiarity with Lloyds Principles for Doing Business
  • Familiarity of Lloyds Insurance Company (Europe) requirements
  • Strong financial acumen and intuition, with the ability to handle large and complex issues / data.
