Job Description

Astrum Search is working alongside a world leading FTSE 20 consumer goods business to recruit a new Global Internal Audit Manager.

Reporting to the Internal Audit Director, you will lead and deliver global audit assignments that are complex and wide-ranging. Audits include corporate, commercial, factory, and functional audits, as well as other ad-hoc assignments. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the smooth running of the central Internal Audit Office, including providing accurate and timely reporting to the Audit Leadership Team and Audit Committee
  • Prepare and review quarterly Audit Committee papers, monthly management reporting, and internal audit dashboards
  • Lead and be accountable for the planning and execution of risk-based audits under the guidance of the Internal Audit Director
  • Prepare and agree summary reports of findings and recommendations, focussing in areas of business risk and control weaknesses
  • Partner with 2nd line assurance functions to continuously improve the integrity of the control framework
  • Continually drive the adoption data analytics in the planning and execution of audits
  • Manage, develop, coach and support your team.
  • Skills & Experience:

  • An experienced internal audit professional with a recognised accountancy or internal audit qualification (ACA/ACCA/IIA or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in a leading accountancy practice
  • Prior internal audit experience in the consumer goods, manufacturing or FMCG sectors is highly advantageous
  • Flexible to travel to 25% of the time 
  • SAP and data analytics experience highly desirable
  • Previous management and/or coaching experience
  • A confident communicator with experience of working in a highly international environment.
