Prospero Teaching are currently on the lookout for Food and Nutrition graduates with a keen interest in education to join a secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea. Specifically, we're seeking individuals who have excelled in Food and Nutrition at both GCSE and A-level, and who hold a degree in a Food and Nutrition related field.Are you interested in working as a teaching assistant/technician in a secondary school where there may be opportunities to train to teach in the future? If you're a Food and Nutrition graduate who meets these criteria and is eager to make a positive impact in a school setting, we'd love to hear from you.As a Food and Nutrition technician, you will be working in a secondary school environment with 11 - 16-year-olds who require continuity, positive role models, patience and understanding.WHAT DOES THE FOOD AND NUTRITION GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE:* Supporting the class teacher and students during lessons.* Procurement of, setting up and maintaining a wide range of equipment.* Keeping up to date with current guidance to ensure a safe working environment.* Organisation and preparation of ingredients for use by students or teachers in lessons.WHAT SUPPORT WILL I BE GIVEN AS A FOOD AND NUTRITION GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT?* You'll be given training, guidance and support by an experienced consultant at Prospero and our Training and Development Team (all experienced teachers) as well as from the school themselves.* A programme of FREE Training and CPD sessions are also offered.School support:* You will be provided with resources and strategies to support learners, behaviour management training, group and 1:1 training from qualified, experienced passionate staff.FOOD AND NUTRITION GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT:Full-time school hours, 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.The role is paid weekly at a daily rate of £125 per day and can become a permanent post in the future.
