Flood Risk Engineer   Our client is looking for an experienced Flood-Risk Engineer to join their team in Greater Manchester, due to continued growth and client demand.     The consultancy is an award-winning family company with a track record of innovation and the desire to improve. They have a healthy, nurturing culture where staff are empowered, trusted and can flourish.   As a flood risk engineer, you will be responsible for completing flood risk assessments for planning applications, surface water management plans, drainage impact assessments and much more. You will also have the opportunity to manage small-scale projects and work with the geoenvironmental team for multi-disciplinary projects.     The company has a clear vision and plans for growth, so hopes to find a like-minded individual, who will have the opportunity to help grow the business and share in the success this brings.    Responsibilities   ·Production of Flood Risk Assessments for planning applications.   ·Surface water management plans.  ·Drainage impact assessments.   ·Drainage strategy and detailed SuDS designs.  ·Contribute to Geo-environmental Investigation reports.    Requirements   ·HND or BSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology, or similar.   ·Experience within a UK based consultancy or Local Authority role completing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage design.   ·Experience with Microsoft applications, AutoCAD, Masterdrain, GiS software or similar.  ·Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.  ·High motivation for this specific opportunity.  ·Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills. ·Ability to work under own initiative while fully co-ordinating with line manager's requirements.  ·Excellent communication skills.  ·Full UK driving licence.    FOOTNOTE: If you feel that you are right for this role technically, but the salary, location or seniority does not suit you specifically then please still feel free to send us your CV.
