Role - Fleet MechanicPay - £27.46 Per hour Umbrella LTDService Care Solutions have an exciting opportunity to join a local authority on a temporary, ongoing contract. Our client are recruiting for a Fleet Mechanic in the Middlesbrough area. Job Purpose:Maintain and repair all types of motor vehicles and mobile plant in accordance with relevant legislation, manufacturer's instructions and maintenance schedules.Duties and responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles operated by the Council and other agencies which includes HGV, LGV, Cars, Refuse Vehicles, Mechanical Sweepers, Lorry Loaders Gritters and Horticultural equipmentCarry out MOT and taxi tests to the standards required by the Ministry of Transport.Prepare and submit vehicles for MOT and HGV annual test.Diagnosing faults, identifying parts required, fit parts and ensure roadworthiness of vehicles, also carry out minor body work repairs.Carry out advanced diagnostic work in relation to auto electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Completion of relevant paperwork including writing up reports regarding condition of vehicles as required i.e. if deemed to be uneconomical to repair.Attend vehicle breakdownsRequirements:Full UK driving licenseMinimum 4 years experienceQualification to City & Guilds standard or a recognised NVQ mechanical apprenticeship in vehicle repairs.MOT Testing experienceBasic knowledge in the use of IT equipment.Ability to recognise faults and report accurately.Prepared to work under dirty, wet & noisy conditions on occasions.Working hours will be:Monday to Friday between 6am - 6pm and available to work after 6pm where required.If you would like further information on this role, and to apply, please email Prakash today at (url removed) or call (phone number removed) Read More |
