Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Financial Analyst tojoin our team. You will be instrumental in our Financial processes and analysissupporting the business. This is based at our Head Office in QuorumBusiness Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Candidates should understand the importance of providing timely andaccurate financial information as a basis for insightful analysis andoperational data. Having a core understanding of financial accounting with ananalytical mindset.  Playing a key rolein our month end process, alongside annual budget and audit cycles.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Own actual andforecasting of key financial categories supported by Senior Finance Managers
  • Monthlymanagement accounts preparation and balance sheet reconciliations, includingforecast data input
  • Weekly andMonthly KPI support
  • Reconciliationsof key accounts including cash receipts to revenue recorded in transactionalsystem (EPOS)
  • Problem solvingwhere variances arise
  • Supportcolleagues at site and support hub with queries
  • Develop reportsfor the organisation to drive value through data backed decision making
  • Plan versusactual variance analysis
  • Data preparation,consolidation and analysis support

 

Required Skills

  • AAT qualified or sufficient working experienceof accounting
  • Highly proficient Excel user
  • Balance sheet and cash reconciliation experience
  • Self starter and effective time management
  • Problem solver
  • Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people of all levels
  • Ability to adapt and prioritise to changingbusiness needs
  • Previous experience with Sage200
