Supporting a "best-in-class" manufacturing site in Dundee, you will report into the Financial Director to provide sound financial guidance and technical expertise to the Dundee business. The Opportunity 

This job opportunity will offer a mix of technical financial accounting, interaction with operational stakeholders and team leadership. The role supports the financial management of the manufacturing site and feeds into the wider group finance team. Your role will involve; 

  • Ensuring the delivery of monthly results in line with reporting timetable 
  • Responsibility for the implementation of financial policy and embedding internal controls and compliance
  • Supporting external Auditors and advisors 
  • Supporting the finance team to manage Accounts Receivable balances
  • Leading on supporting on compliance projects and ensuring compliance to accounting standards 
  • Monthly VAT, Intrastat and EC sales returns 
  • Systems and process improvement 
  • Background and Experience

    You will be a professionally Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/ACMA), ideally from a professional practice background with strong technical accounting skills. You will have excellent knowledge and experience of P&L and balance sheet and be able to work effectively with stakeholders from across the business. You may have had exposure to, or worked with, organisations in the manufacturing sector and be comfortable with technical reporting standards such as UKGAAP and IFRS. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to drive financial policy - influencing key stakeholders.

    You should consider yourself someone who can provide sound financial guidance to aid business decision making and ideally have a proven track record of this. An ability to adapt, prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment, will be essential for this role.

  • £55,000 - £65,000 annual salary (dependent on experience) 
  • Up to 10% annual bonus (performance related)
  • 37.5 hour working week
  • Preference for on-site working although some hybrid working may be available
