Job Details Your new company Hays Senior Finance is pleased to be working with a major service-based organisation who operates in the UK. They are looking to add a Finance Business Partner to their established team after a reshuffle. Your new role In this role you will be providing the commercial Business Partnering for the organisation mixed with elements of FP&A. This role will report directly to the Head of Finance and provide support to the wider finance team. Main Responsibilities include; Lead budgeting and forecasting process for functions to deliver a robust plan within the guidelines and timetable established by the central FP&A team Support the Retail Finance Director with communicating requirements, collating data and producing consolidated reports. Produce insightful month end variance commentary to feed into various reporting streams Maintain a consolidated register of income/cost Risks & Opportunities, highlight through the appropriate channels and ensure alignment in quarterly forecasts Be proactive and continue to develop processes, ensuring the Retail Finance team is efficient and well-organised. Manage the monthly review and challenge for BU by providing appropriate high-level analysis of performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving cost efficiency initiatives. Ensure full transparency, understanding and interpretation of BU P&L, clearly articulating drivers of income and/or direct costs. Evaluating business cases for investment decisions, challenging assumptions and ensuring compliance with governance, making recommendations to improve return on investment. Drive and embed new initiatives to improve P&L performance. Prioritise project issues for review with BU leads, sponsors, and SteerCo. Provide expert advice and an independent view of the Finance Leadership Team, CFO, and other stakeholders. Drive a commercial focus and challenge strategic planning and decision-making within the business unit. Participate in cross Finance initiatives and work streams to include support for any audit work carried out. What you'll need to succeed An accountancy Qualification Good understanding of Finance Systems (SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Office) Experience working in a Commercial Finance role Good analytical skills Demonstrable stakeholder management & influencing skills Knowledge of business cases and investment proposals.
