Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with Essex Police in the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to support and actively contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale complex projects, specifically in relation to the IT programme of work, that support the strategic objectives of the Force. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as principal advisor to Chief Officers and management teams within the business area on all matters relating to financial management
  • Building strong relationships and working closely with Chief Officers and management teams to support their portfolio and guide them in effective financial management
  • Influencing, challenging and supporting management teams in identifying, managing and implementing change to improve financial performance and efficiency
  • Advising on strategic financial development to enable the business to deliver its objective
  • Essential criteria:

  • CCAB level or equivalent professional body
  • Proven business partnering approach with the ability to input into organisational strategy, financial planning, resolving business problems and make recommendations
  • Evidence of a proactive and innovative approach to work by exploring and presenting options to a wide range of senior stakeholders at project boards.
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills to deliver an optimum finance provision to the various projects that the Force engage in
