We are pleased to have a fantastic opportunity available for a Finance Assistant to join our successful Finance team at DCK in our Billericay office.


This is a full-time position with split between between home/remote and the office in Billericay.


You will;


  • Oversee the timely issuing of Sales ledger invoicing weekly and monthly.
  • Investigate and resolve queries in a timely manner, ensuring a professional relationship is consistently maintained with internal/external parties.
  • Ensure customers pay on time and chase overdue invoices, liaising with contacts when required.
  • Managing debt within agreed debtor days, maintaining an up-to-date Sales Ledger.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of key DCK client accounts.
  • Oversee the successful processing of all invoices and credits for month end and year end.
  • Reconciling daily polled sales to invoiced sales.
  • Prepare and upload weekly Invoice Finance Files.
  • Monthly preparation of Invoice Financing Reconciliations for external use.
  • Ensuring that cash allocations are prompt and timely.
  • Assist in forecasting sales receipts for cash flow management.
  • Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, journals, month end close and after date sales reconciliation.
  • Prepare sales reporting for external Auditors.
  • Continually review and improve Sales Ledger processes.
  • Allocate workload accordingly in busy periods and support the team when necessary.
  • Assisting Finance Manager with ad hoc management accounting preparation.
  • Archive historical data in line with Company policy on an annual basis.
  • You will have;


  • Strong MS Excel skills are essential.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal, written, oral communication.
  • Organised
  • Time management
  • Strong numeracy and ability to interpret data.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance role.
  • Would suit candidate with AAT qualifications (but not essential).
