KS3/4 English Teacher - Bury - September Prospero Teaching are supporting a popular secondary school in Bury to recruit for a qualified English teacher to join them in September 2024 for the whole of the academic year, until July 2025. It is essential that applicants are qualified to teach English literature & language to key stage 3 & 4 students and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) . This school has received a 'good' OFSTED report in all areas and has a good reputation in the area. The department is well established in the school and has a dedicated, forward thinking head of department. You will be expected to become part of the department and attend departmental meetings and parents evenings when required. You will be required to plan and prepare engaging lessons and mark work promptly & provide feedback to students along the way. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Bury Position English Teacher Start date September 2024 End date July 2025 Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP153 per day Hours 8:30AM till 4PM EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience teaching in a UK school (language & literature) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date prevent awareness training & FGM issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one Provide a minimum of two professional references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV today.
