Rate: £22.00-£25.00p/h DOE Limited or Umbrella (Outside IR35)

I am working with a key client in West Yorkshire who are looking for an experienced Electrical/Mechanical assembly technician with bespoke engineering build experience, to work on capital automated equipment. You will be responsible for complex assembly build and testing, ready for site installation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics to tight tolerances in some instances and use hand tools
  • Electrical - building of machinery and overhaul from an electrical perspective
  • Power up – deal with any issues – fault find
  • Set up inverter drives – program auxiliary equipment, go online to see what's going on
  • Run cables, terminate, Read schematics etc.
  • Working on and installing an array of equipment such as gearboxes, bearings, drives and motors etc.
  • Liaise with other teams and key stakeholders
  • Strong bespoke technical understanding to ensure mechanical and electrical specifications are met
  • Report any snagging issues or problems to Assembly Supervisor

The successful candidate:

  • NVQL3/apprentice trained/time served in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • Electrical/Mechanical fitter/Installations experience
  • Automated special purpose machinery build experience
  • Ability to read complex engineering drawings / schematics etc
  • Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
