The successful Phase Leader will be expected to undertake all the usual professional duties of a teacher as well as assisting the Senior Leadership Team and Head of School in developing and managing the Early Years of the school whilst demonstrating the ethos, commitments and policies of the school.

You'd be expected to drive and maintain the ethos and foundations of the school through personal conduct and effective relationships with both staff and pupils.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Early Years Phase Leader role will include:Work as part of the Leadership Team to develop and maintain the ethos of the whole schoolInspire, motivate and provide purposeful leadership of their PhaseUndertake a teaching commitment as directed by the Head of SchoolTo raise standards in teaching and learning in their PhaseTo monitor pupil progress across the Phase, analyse data and report to senior leaders, staff and GovernorsDesign effective action plans with their phase based on monitoring findings and data analysis;  work with the Head of School and members of the SLT assessment leader in managing pupil assessments within their Phase, including moderationAssist the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team in developing, implementing and monitoring the School Improvement PlanLead School Improvement initiativesSupport the Senior Leadership Team in maintaining good order in the classroom and around the school with due regard to the school's policy on behaviour and control of bullyingAssist in the positive implementation of the equal opportunities policy within the schoolSafeguard the health and safety of self and others in accordance with the school's Health and Safety PolicyStaff ManagementMotivate and support other staff and encourage a shared understanding of the contribution the phase/key stage makes to all aspects of pupils' livesWork in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team in developing effective management structures and communication channels in the schoolLead by example in the development of teamwork, mutual support and collaboration of colleagues and motivation of staffParticipate in the induction of new members of the teamMentor and support the professional development of staff in their Phase.

Where necessary provide support for those teachers failing to meet the teacher standardsDeal sensitively with people, recognise individual needs and take account of these in securing a consistent team approach in their PhaseWider Professional EffectivenessLead a significant area of responsibility across the school (E.
