Responsible For: The Digital Business Partner (DBP) is the trusted technology advisor for the Ringway Term Maintenance organisation, supporting individual revenue generating Business Units in their delivery of services to Local and Strategic Highway Authority clients.

As the DBP, the role will develop strong and influential relationships with delivery teams, partners, and other senior business leaders; to ensure consistency of approach, optimised use of data and drive delivery of new and innovative digital capabilities and technologies to bring clients best in class solutions – in support of our ambition to remain the highway Term Services supplier of choice in our chosen sector.

The DBP will serve as the primary point of contact for the business’ technology and digital needs and serve as the primary liaison to corporate services including the Director of ICT – VCUK.


Role Summary :


The Digital Business Partner will:


  • Be the strategic link between ICT and business units in RIS.
  • Foster and support the Ringway Business Unit developers/digital leads with governance and compliance oversight.
  • Develop solution concepts and business cases for new ICT investments.
  • Champion the use and share knowledge of technology which deliver improvements in efficiency and effectiveness within business units.
  • Coordinate strategic development planning with internal stakeholders and other delegations in the broader Vinci business.
  • Have an awareness of the RIS businesses and be knowledgeable in how ICT services support and enable them, with a particular focus on M365, data/BI, GIS, Works and Asset Management platforms.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders at all levels to understand business challenges and opportunities and propose the introduction of new solutions or changes to existing services to support positive business outcomes where appropriate.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to research, define, evaluate, and propose technical solutions to satisfy business needs.
  • Consult on and assist with the implementation of agreed solutions and assist in the transition of changes into service operation.

Skills/Experience:


  • Experience working in a solutions design capacity
  • Experience working in depth with the Microsoft stack
  • Some experience of working in structured, managed ICT service environments would be desirable
