As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations and maintaining strong relationships with our customers.


In this role, you will be responsible for managing the credit control process, reconciling accounts, and liaising with internal departments and external customers.

You will need to have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities


  • Managing the credit control process and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
  • Reconciling customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies or queries
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, acting as their main point of contact for all credit-related matters
  • Collaborating with the sales and operations teams to resolve any issues impacting payment collection
  • Conducting credit checks on new customers and reviewing credit limits for existing customers
  • Producing regular reports on the status of outstanding accounts and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Assisting with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciling accounts receivable

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of credit control principles and practices
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
