A highly reputable, large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join the permanent staff list at one of their outstanding schools in Southwark.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and looking to make a significant impact within a supportive and progressive educational environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervising and managing classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task.
  • Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
  • Assisting with the development of students' academic and social skills.
  • Supporting other staff members and contributing to the overall ethos and objectives of the school.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
  • A strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the development of young people.
