Locum Junior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer – London - £40 per hour – Hybrid working



 



Position:  Locum Junior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer



Organisation:  London based Local Authority



Duration:  9 months maternity cover



Working Pattern:  Full Time



Working Arrangement:  1 day per month office attendance



Hourly Rate:  £40 umbrella per hour



 



Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team are in partnership with a leading Local Authority based in Greater London to assist in the search for a Junior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer on a locum basis



This is an exciting opportunity for a junior lawyer who is looking to either expand on their local government experience.

The ideal candidate will be a  Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx


 



Duties Shall Include:


  • Diverse Contract and Procurement Management:  Manage a broad range of contracts and procurement activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency
  • Construction Contracts:  Learn and develop the knowledge of construction contracts, including JCT minor works and other relevant agreements
  • Client Advisory:  Provide expert advice to clients on all aspects of contract and procurement activities, offering strategic insights and solutions
  • Governance Support:  Assist with governance-related tasks, ensuring all processes adhere to legal and regulatory standards
  • The role of  Junior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer  comes with an hourly rate of £40 and gives a  unique learning opportunity for a junior candidate looking to develop  and expand their knowledge. 

    Prior experience in local government is not essential  but a desire to learn and grow is favourable.
