Construction Delivery Manager - Teesworks Electricity Network


NRL are proud to be partnering with a newly formed company who will operate and maintain all HV Networks on the Teesworks site as well as all the capital build of new networks and substations which is a circa.

£190m capital program.


An opportunity to join the dynamic team and contribute to the enhancement of the HV network and the area.


Job Summary:


The Construction Delivery Manager for HV upgrade will be responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of £190m worth of HV upgrade on the Teesworks site whilst also overseeing the construction of a large National Grid substation.


Eventually leading a team including Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.


The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.


Outline and Responsibilities:


Project Management:


  • Lead and manage HV Upgrade projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.

Team Leadership :


  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of project teams, including contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Technical Oversight:


  • Provide technical guidance on construction activities, budgets and construction programmes.

Budget Oversight:


  • Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures.

Quality Assurance:


  • Ensure all construction work meets company standards and complies with relevant project specific specifications.

Safety Management:


  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all project personnel.

Stakeholder Communication:


  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and senior management.

Risk Management:


  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

Documentation:


  • Oversee the maintenance of all project documentation, including progress reports, and change orders working closely with the Contract management staff.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes.
  • Input into the formation and management of project KPI’s.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Managing all contractors and sub-contractors
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure

Experience and Qualifications:


Education:


  • HNC in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Or Relevant industry experience

Experience:


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on Utility Projects
