The Role


The Lead Compliance Officer plays a key role in the Venquis Solutions.

The role is to lead the compliance process from start to finish, responsible for evolving compliance across the business covering agreed areas of the Group and to promote and build relationships to support business growth where possible.

This is a hands-on role and covers client terms, contracts, worker relations, contractor care and other related commercial/legal terms as well as staying up to date with the latest statutory and employment legislation where relevant.

Focus extends to candidate support and interaction to ensure our primary relationships stay strong and expand.

Responsibilities


  • Oversee and manage the entire compliance process across all entities within the Group, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, contracts, and internal policies.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the contractor onboarding process, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and contractual requirements, while delivering a best-in-class experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractor care, ensuring effective communication and full transparency for all stakeholders regarding compliance-related matters and the company’s service offerings.
  • Proactively identify compliance risks and opportunities during interactions with candidates, clients, and internal stakeholders, recommending solutions and improvements.
  • Develop, track, and analyse key compliance metrics, such as productivity, Net Promoter Score (NPS), Service Level Agreements (SLA), and efficiency measures, ensuring the highest industry standards are met.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date compliance framework across all company locations, ensuring consistency in meeting specific regulations, licensing requirements, and best practices.
  • Act as a key advocate and visible leader for the compliance function, promoting its importance both internally and externally, while strengthening the company’s reputation in regulatory and compliance circles.
  • Build and expand relationships with key regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to keep the organisation abreast of emerging compliance trends and developments.

  • External parties including APSCO, Legal sources and other industry focal points across all the jurisdictions

Experience:


  • Proven experience in a senior compliance role, within the recruitment, contracting, or service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, contractor management, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ideally experience in both UK markets and European jurisdictions such as Benelux region, Scandinavia and Germany
  • Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with developing and monitoring compliance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
