As the Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective communications and PR strategies to drive the organisation's growth and success.

  • Responsibilities:



  • Create and manage compelling content across digital platforms, including social media, website, and intranet, to engage both internal and external audiences.

  • Monitor and analyse social media platforms to track performance and implement strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

  • Develop and deliver press releases, email newsletters, blogs, and other written materials to effectively communicate key messages and promotions.

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns targeted at existing and potential clients to promote the organisation's products and services.

  • Perform administrative duties such as raising purchase orders, managing subscriptions and invoices, and keeping correct records.

  • Monitor media coverage and produce communication updates and reports to assess the success of communication efforts.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, suppliers, and trade media, to deliver projects and initiatives that align with the organisation's aims.

  • Represent the organisation at events and consult with the media to promote its work and achievements.

  • Play a key role in developing and implementing internal communication strategies, including producing newsletters, internal stories, and managing staff events to foster a cohesive and inclusive work environment.

  • Some out-of-hours on-call work may be needed.


  • Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):



  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong creativity and initiative, with the ability to be creative.

  • Mindfulness and high-quality standards.

  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of marketing, general communications, and PR trends and techniques, including social media platforms and technologies

  • Confident and friendly demeanour, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers at all levels.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.

  • Experience evaluating projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

  • Ability in WordPress, Hootsuite, Search Engine Optimisation, and Google Analytics


  • Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):



  • Video editing and production skills (e.g., Kinemaster, Adobe Premiere, etc.)


  • Technologies: WordPress, Hootsuite, Search Engine Optimisation, Google Analytics
