About the World Shipping Council (WSC) The World Shipping Council (WSC) is the united voice of liner shipping, working with policymakers and industry groups to shape the future growth of a socially responsible, environmentally sustainable, safe, and secure shipping industry. Our members are ocean carriers who transport about 90% of international containerized cargo and operate large vehicle carrier and ro-ro fleets. As Communications Manager, you will play a key role in our work on safety, security, and sustainability through strategic communication initiatives, engaging with members and external audiences. We are as international as the industry we serve, with member companies all over the world and offices in Washington, London, Brussels, and Singapore.
Position Overview The Communications Manager will report directly to the Communications Director and will work closely with colleagues worldwide. This new role will be pivotal in supporting external and membership communications and engagement efforts to advance our policy objectives, enhance the liner shipping industry reputation, and strengthen the WSC brand. An important part of this role involves membership success management, including the Member Newsletter and other initiatives to support member engagement.

Skills and Experience
An international or multicultural background, as well as any experience related to shipping, logistics, or international policy work, is a distinct advantage.
