Skanska Building Services are experts in Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) engineering. We have extensive experience of delivering a huge range of projects in a wide variety of sectors, including commercial, educational, Defence and Data Centres. 

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join the team in London to be involved in Data Centre projects.

The purpose of the role will be to support and innovate within established commercial and operational teams, to ensure the operational, commercial and risk management that delivers maximum value to Skanska and its customers. 

You’ll:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of complex and fast paced work winning opportunities
  • Support existing contract teams in the Data Centre sector
  • Work closely and supporting the contract teams and Commercial Leader to ensure that contracts discharge contractual and legal obligations in line with company policies, IMS procedures, and company guidelines, e.g. (Code of Conduct, Contract Performance Procedure, Project Review Management, Risk and Opportunity Management, Design Management and Project Close Out Guidelines).
  • Undertake all responsibilities having a duty to act in the best commercial and financial interests of the business and its customers in delivering set projects and services to time and quality, whilst recognising our Corporate and Social Responsibilities.
  • We’re looking for:

  • Previous experience of working in the Data Centre sector and delivering Data Centre projects, general construction management, contract negotiation or similar experience.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of contract/commercial law including a range of construction contract types and frameworks.
  • FIDIC experience 
  • Ability to offer work winning support in developing commercial cost and quality offering.
  • Experience building and improving commercial teams and being part of a balanced commercial and operational culture.
