Job Title: Claims HandlerLocation: AylesburyContract Details: Permanent, Full TimeSalary: £22,500 - £23,500 per annumBenefits & Perks:22 days holiday allowance plus bank holidaysQuarterly bonus scheme based on attendance, compliments, and business performanceSupport for professional development, including paid training for CERT CII certification with a £1000 salary increase for qualified individualsPension schemeMonthly award recognition and prizesCompany events throughout the year, including a Christmas party, Christmas gifts, and rafflesOpportunity for career progressionResponsibilities:As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for the following:Act as the main point of contact for customers and clients, ensuring clear communication via phone, email, and associated client systemsAdhere to service level agreements (SLAs) on all claimsAuthorise property insurance claimsUpdate job records accurately using our client's systemsHandle low-level complaintsEnsure supply chain compliance and review supplier estimates and invoices for accuracyUtilise recommended price tables, digital photos, questioning techniques, and policy documents to determine the appropriateness of estimatesConduct final audits of claims, including account reconciliation, prior to closingEssential (Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience):Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, clients, and colleaguesStrong attention to detail and the ability to analyse information and make decisionsProficient computer skills, including experience with relevant software applicationsDesirable (Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience):CERT CII certification or willingness to obtain certificationExperience working with insurance claims or in the property services industryStrong negotiation and problem-solving skillsPrevious experience in claims handling or a related fieldAdecco is a disability-confident employer.
