Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of an Chief Cardiac Physiologist. This appointment is due to a growth of community based services within the locality, the client is interested in candidates who can work full or part time within the services on a long term interim basis.
Key responsibilities will include:

Provide a high quality, appropriate and effective Cardio-Respiratory investigation service, in a supervisory role, to guide and support all junior members of staff; -
Carry out clinical duties at a highly specialist level in order to meet the needs of the service and its patients; -
Independently interpret investigations and generate reports for investigations performed, ensuring that results that need urgent medical attention are brought to the attention of the appropriate physician or GP; -
Ability to interrogate implanted cardiac devices, interpret data generated and to independently make programming changes to the device; -
Work with all members of the department to ensure the development of an effective communication network within the Cardiac Physiology Department; -
Maintain an up to date knowledge of the specialty including clinical developments, undertaking training and continued professional development as identified during the appraisal process; -
Participate in the completion of audits relevant to the clinical area and practice review. The ideal candidate will have:

BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent experience / knowledge; -
Professional qualifications of BHRS or equivalent or at least working towards this. (willingness to achieve this on appointment ); -
Highly specialist standard and experience at a senior grade to be able to independently perform, interpret and report on the investigations carried out within the Cardio-Respiratory Unit; -
Ability to access, enter, change, and manage information in the Unit’s / Trust’s database systems including Careflow and Solus; PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of this requirement (interim), we cannot consider candidates who do not currently have work experience in a similar role within the UK.
