Catastrophe Analyst Aon is currently recruiting a Catastrophe Analyst to join our Global Reinsurance Specialty (GRS) Analytics team in London. The team sits within Aon Reinsurance Solutions and provides clients with advice on their exposures to natural disasters such as windstorms, floods and earthquakes. These clients include London market (re)insurers, and global reinsurers buying retrocession. Comprised of hard-working and team-oriented individuals, the catastrophe modelling team is continuously looking for ways to evolve our clients’ understanding and view of catastrophe risk. Working closely with our brokers, academic partners and our model evaluation specialists enables us to perform and draw from authority analysis and experience to make better decisions for our clients. Using both traditional catastrophe models (RMS/AIR/CoreLogic) and Aon’s in-house modelling platform ELEMENTs, we demonstrate the power of Impact Forecasting and external modelling solutions; to quantify the financial impact of natural and human-made catastrophes on our clients’ portfolios. This also includes developing tailored solutions for our clients to best represent their portfolios and loss experience.
