Join Saffron Building Society as a Business Development Manager! Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for driving growth and building lasting relationships? Saffron Building Society is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to join our team.


The day to day role:


  • Covering Central England
  • Demonstrating an active contribution to the successful delivery of all lending objectives with a key focus on growing ‘fans’ and ‘friends’ in your assigned territory
  • Pro-actively managing and developing relationships with brokers within your assigned territory
  • Signposting brokers to the SFI website highlighting the tools and guides available to educate and support them
  • Completing welcome calls to all newly registered brokers, when required, covering all aspects required ensuring they fully understand how to submit business and are aware of Saffron’s key selling points
  • Effectively promoting the Society; its service and products
  • Developing the Society profile and increasing the Society’s intermediary market share
  • Researching and feeding back industry news and trends, sharing broker feedback, product initiatives and market intelligence with Intermediary Manager and National Account Manager.
  • Maintaining an appropriate level of market knowledge to support the Society and brokers
  • Advocating and promoting the Society at virtual and face to face events

To be successful you will have knowledge of:


Strong knowledge of the mortgage intermediary sector

Broad understanding of the UK mortgage regulatory framework and the entities within

Data Analysis

Deep understanding and experience in relationship management of mortgage intermediaries
