Macgregor Black are partnering with a Global Market Leading Arts and Crafts brand, on the search for a Bid Manager .


As Bid Manager you will be responsible for driving commercial performance within the Sales function.

You will be a critical thinker who is dynamic and positive; your ideas and initiatives will contribute to the success of the team and the company.

Excellent organisational, analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills are critical to the role.

A previous experience with consumer goods products is preferred but is not a requirement.


Key Responsibilities


  • Bid Development: Lead the end-to-end process of writing and submitting bids, proposals, and tenders for educational opportunities.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities, understand requirements, and gather relevant data and information to support bid submissions.
  • Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and compelling bid responses that effectively address the criteria and requirements of funders and awarding bodies.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that the submission process is organized and efficient.
  • Compliance: Ensure all bids comply with the relevant guidelines, standards, and criteria specified by funders, including legal and financial regulations.
  • Editing and Review: Edit and proofread bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity, maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Reporting: Track the progress and outcomes of submitted bids, providing regular updates and reports to senior management on success rates and lessons learned.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on trends, policies, and best practices in the education sector and incorporate this knowledge into bid strategies.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the education sector, including funding mechanisms and policy trends.
