Project: We're growing our Project Controls Team within our Resilience Business Unit, which covers: Energy (Nuclear & Renewables), Utilities, Environment. We're hiring experienced Project Controls Specialists to join us on various opportunities as apart of our scaling business strategy.

As a your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead application of specific Project Controls methods, techniques and tools.
  • Good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies.
  • Able to advise on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
  • Able to manage projects controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
  • Able to play key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals delivering Projects Controls services and responsible for staff development.
  • Excellent written communication skills, clear & concise.
  • As a project controls specialist, stays up to date with key industry / professional trends.
  • In depth knowledge of project controls tools & software (e.g., MS Excel, portfolio software, MS Project, PRA, Primavera P6)
  • Able to provide effective & timely advice to clients.
  • Have an understanding of data management.
  • Clearly understand role & future career paths available from that position.
  • Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check project controls inputs, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis.
  • Managing Assistant Managers & Managers where required by the scale of the project.

  • About you

    You have HND or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or another related field. You have an understanding of cost management methodologies and techniques. You have the ability to understand and use cost management software. You have a good understanding of earned value analysis.

    You have experience in the use of cost management software systems such as EcoSys. You have experience on a major construction project. You can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have proven relevant experience in project management or project controls environment in a similar cost role in a construction or consultancy background within the nuclear sector and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
