Role Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join one of the fastest ecommerce Beauty platforms in the UK. We are looking for an energetic individual, with good knowledge of the market and our customers, with drive and a genuine interest in Buying.


This role is suitable for someone who wants to work in a fast paced & ever changing Buying Team, where you will gain greater exposure and responsibility. You will need to be extremely organised, have an eye for detail and be able to handle the pressure of an evolving environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for growing, sourcing and owning a selection of third-party brands.
  • Working closely with your brands to source exclusive products, bundles & promos relevant for the customer.
  • Responsible for creating new upcoming lines & inputting into the Buying Planner
  • Sample & critical path management working closely with Logistics, Merch & Production
  • Work closely with the Buying & Trade Teams to co-ordinate new launches
  • Ensure our product databases & systems are kept up to date including all price changes ensuring data accuracy.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers & brands
  • Completing online comparative shopping reports to develop and maintain knowledge of the current market & brands.
  • Lead business newness updates for Buying Department/Third Party Brands, liaising with all channels to ensure correct exposure.
  • Coordinate internally with all channels any brand funding/campaigns and create a presentation to send back to the Brand.
  • Ensure all promo rebates are reported back to the relevant brands.


Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Buying role at either Buying Assistant or Buyers Admin Assistant level is essential.
  • Ability to manage time & workload efficiently.
  • Ability to manage & prioritise tasks to make ensure tasks are completed accurately.
  • Ability to work comfortably within a fast paced & ever changing environment.
  • Commercial awareness & ability to react to the latest market trends.
  • Strong analytical & numerical skill set.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong administration skills to be able to undertake admin tasks as & when needed.
  • A strong passion for the BEAUTY BAY brand & product.
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Great attention to detail & an eye for ever changing events.
