We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our team at Sanctuary Students in Dundee.


Working in partnership with the University of Dundee, we provide self-catered accommodation to 1587 students, across four accommodation sites.

With previous supervisory experience, preferably in the accommodation or facilities management sector, this challenging yet rewarding role offers the opportunity for training and further career development.


Joining the team of Assistant Managers, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a designated area within our portfolio of accommodation. 

Your role will be to ensure that we provide excellent facilities management in line with service level agreements and help to ensure that our customer experience is ‘More than just a Room’. 


Working pattern 5 days from 7 per week, primarily Monday - Friday, with some weekends.


Due to the nature of our business some weekend working will be required.


 


The role of Assistant Accommodation Manger will include:


  • Delivering high quality accommodation which meets our client and customer expectations
  • Managing the day to day maintenance issues and liaising with relevant individuals to ensure repairs are completed on time and keeping residents informed of progress
  • Ensuring all Compliance and Health and Safety checks are carried out in line with legislation, policies and ensuring accurate records are maintained
  • Managing a team of General Assistants and Caretakers, to ensure that the cleaning and maintenance services are carried out in accordance with the service level agreements.
  • Providing guidance, support and promoting the development of all staff
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintaining stock levels, raising purchase orders and ensuring site budgets are adhered to.
  • Contributing to new initiatives, process reviews and driving forward our Modern Workplace Microsoft 365 rollout.

 


Skills and experiences:


  • Experience of supporting the delivery of high quality accommodation operations or customer service is essential
  • Working knowledge of effective communication at all levels
  • Some experience of managing staff and providing administrative support to the wider team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence would be preferred
