We currently have an exciting opportunity. We are currently recruiting for an Asset Information Officer to join our Asset Management & Engineering team within Manchester’s iconic Metrolink.

As a Asset Information Officer you will be responsible for the continued development and governance of asset management policies, procedures, and systems to enable the business to achieve and retain the ISO55001 accreditation.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Maintain the Asset Information Strategy and associated documents.
  • Hold companywide briefings on the Asset Information Strategy.
  • Maintain documents that govern the CMMS with regards to data requirements and data completeness.
  • Responsible for the Engineering Document Management System.
  • Hold companywide briefings & deliver training on correct use of the Engineering Document Management System.
  • Produce reports on Engineering Document Management System statistics.
  • Audit the Engineering team for compliance against the Document Management Plan and Procedure.
  • Responsible for Configuration Management System.
  • Hold companywide briefings & training on the Configuration Management System.
  • Report on the status and changes to the Configuration Management System.
  • Work alongside Projects Team to ensure Configuration Information is to standard.
  • Audit the Engineering team for compliance against the Configuration Management Plan and Procedure.
  • Continuously improve the systems, plans and process for the Managements system that fall under this role.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Good numerate degree (Engineering or another STEM subject) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering activities with a large multi-disciplined maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of Asset Management.
  • Understanding of asset lifecycle activities.
  • Strong IT skills including experience of Microsoft SharePoint and PowerBI.
  • Thrives in a process led environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Presentation skills, able to deliver face to face briefings to a group.

Vocational:

  • This role MUST pass the Institute of Asset Management – Asset Management Certificate.
