MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Leading Lifestyle brand in search of an Apparel Designer based in London.


This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the development and execution of collections, playing a key part in the design team and contributing to ongoing success in the fashion industry.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Senior Designer and Head of Design in executing the overall design vision.
  • Translate design concepts into technical CAD drawings and tech-packs.
  • Create technical product specifications for various product categories.
  • Proactively shape the collections with product design ideas, technical solutions, and trend research.
  • Communicate ideas through illustrations and technical drawings.
  • Ensure consistency and brand identity in collaboration with the Senior Designer and Head of Design.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, particularly product development and FTW designers.
  • Contribute to seasonal themes, mood boards, and research to create collection overviews.

What are we looking for?


  • 3-5 years of working experience in apparel design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Additional skills in software like Clo3D are a plus.
  • Ability to complete tech specs quickly, with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong sense of market trends and quality.
  • Experience with fabrics and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Organised, communicative, and thrives in a team environment.
