If so, we have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our busy Finance department here at Regatta, offering support within the team where necessary and being responsible for accurately maintaining group purchase ledgers and making payments to suppliers in a timely manner.

The Impact you will have in this role is:  

  • Processing invoices through our approval system
  • Coding invoices and entering onto the purchase ledger for both UK and Export companies.
  • Ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner for payment.
  • Maintaining purchase ledgers including creating new supplier accounts, deleting obsolete records, regular checks on ledger balances
  • Reconciling supplier statements at month end and year end.
  • Preparing BACs payments and posting direct debit payments to ledgers
  • Making urgent and non-UK payments via HSBC internet banking
  • Dealing with suppliers in a professional manner to resolve queries.
  • Maintenance of overseas ledgers invoice registers
  • Liaising with managers and the management accounts reporting team
  • As our future Accounts Payable Assistant, you will have: 

  • Experience working within a busy Accounts environment will be preferable 
  • Strong purchase ledger experience 
  • Experience of using purchase ledgers in a variety of currencies e.g., GBP, EUR, USD, PLN preferable 
  • High level of integrity as will have access to and work with sensitive information daily 
  • Good team worker 
  • Hard working and enthusiastic 
  • Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines 
  • Works accurately to produce high quality work 
  • Able to work on own initiative 
  • Highly organised with a flexible attitude to managing workload priorities 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office package 
  • Strong Excel skills – VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables essential 
  • Able to pick up systems with ease and with accuracy
