Job Summary Job title: Accounts Assistant (Payables)
Salary: £25,959.31 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday office hours
Location: Hexagon Care Services Head Office, Preston (Riversway Docklands) Hexagon Care Services are one of the country’s leading providers of children’s services with over 60 children’s homes and schools across the country. At our Head Office, we support our children’s homes and schools and help them to run effectively, with staff in HR (including Recruitment, IT, Communication & Engagement, Health & Safety) Finance, Maintenance and Referrals. There’s around 30 members of staff at head office all specialising within their particular field. In this role you will: Validate invoices against raised purchase orders Process and make payments for expense claims Manage all aspects of purchase ledger transactions Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve any queries / discrepancies Liaise with internal departments and home managers / head teachers in respect of queries. Support with general finance administration What you’ll need for this role: Grade 5 and above Maths and English GCSE (essential) Highly numerate with the ability to understand and accurately process a variety of standard calculations. Proficient IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft office such as Excel and Word Good attention to detail Good telephone manner An accounting qualification such as AAT or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
