We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director/Business Development Director with a strong background in Chemistry Services.

This PE-backed organization is growing rapidly and changing the market in the drug discovery and development world in recent times.

They are built on state-of-the-art technology with 100's of patents, and this has led to multiple deals worth $100's of millions.


The successful candidate will be a driven and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue
  • Identify and prospect new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients
  • Understand the chemistry services offered by the company and effectively communicate their benefits to potential clients
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote the company's services and generate leads
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and campaigns
  • Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, client needs, and competitor activity
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends

    • Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or above in Science (PhD in Chemistry would be ideal)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, preferably in the chemistry or life science industry
  • Bench Scientist experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech company is a plus
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Over 25% of travel is required
