Role Overview:


As the Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our Civica's Central Government divisional growth strategy.

Your primary focus will be to identify and secure new business opportunities within the defence sectors as well as manage some existing accounts.

You will leverage your expertise to promote their IT resource augmentation and project services, building lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government and defence sectors.
  • Client Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key government and defence stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning the company's services to meet them.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the creation of compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the company's value proposition.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on service offerings and project delivery.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market presence.

Candidate Requirements:


  • Proven experience in business development within the IT consultancy sector, specifically targeting government and defence clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT resource augmentation and IT project services.
  • Strong understanding of government and defence procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must hold SC clearance or be eligible to gain SC clearance.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
