A Primary School in Clitheroe is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team.

This full-time role involves providing one-on-one support to a pupil with additional needs in our Reception class.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide tailored support to a Reception pupil with additional needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and inclusion in all classroom activities.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of individualised learning activities, adapting materials and strategies to meet the pupil's specific requirements.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment that encourages the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement and monitor the pupil's individualised education plan (IEP).
  • Keep accurate records of the pupil's progress and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers.
  • Support the wider Reception class as needed, helping to maintain a calm and productive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
